Rubbed this on a rack of ribs before smoking them and the hickory note came through without tasting artificial. The garlic and onion are balanced nicely too, not overpowering like some rubs I've tried.

Threw a spoonful into my chili and the hickory smoke came through way more than I expected, alongside a nice garlicky kick. It's salty and a little sweet, so I backed off the salt shaker completely.

Rubbed this on some pork chops before grilling and the garlic and onion came through just right with that salty-sweet balance. A little goes a long way, so the jar should last a while even with weekly use.
