Sungma Estate, 1st Flush (Darjeeling)

I was skeptical about all the nutty tasting notes but they're actually there, especially once the cup cools a bit. Steeping it for three minutes gives a much cleaner cup than the four I tried first.

The black currant thing really comes through once it cools a bit, way more than I expected from a first flush. Steeped it about three minutes and got almost no bitterness, just a bright cup I've been making every morning this week.

The nutty note is exactly as described, and it's smooth enough that I don't need milk or sugar. Brewed a pot this morning and the aroma alone made the whole kitchen feel cozier.
