I usually take my Assam with milk, but these golden tips are so smooth I've been drinking it plain. The malty notes come through without any bitterness, even when I accidentally oversteep it.

I was expecting a punchy breakfast tea but this one surprised me with how gentle and malty it drinks. The tippy golden flower leaves smell incredible the second the hot water hits them. Two cups in and I've already ordered more.

The golden tips in this Assam make for a really smooth cup, way less astringent than the broken-leaf stuff I used to drink. Malty without being heavy, and it holds up fine with a splash of milk in the morning.
