Chile en polvo

The color alone told me this was the real deal before I even tasted it. It's a straight grind of chiles with no salt or fillers sneaking in, so the heat builds slow and tastes like actual peppers instead of just dust. My weeknight pot of red has never come out better.

This replaced my old jar after one taste—it's a straight-up pure ground chile, no fillers sneaking in to mute the heat. Exactly the traditional North American kick I wanted for my pot of chili, and the color it gives the broth is gorgeous.
